Want a personalised, behind-the-scenes look at the Coorong region?
Our Coorong Tours will take you to places that are not easily accessed by the average vistor.
We will take you behind the farm gate so that you can meet Coorong locals up close and personal.
Discover the hidden secrets of the Coorong!
Meaning, we will take you to vist a local producer, for a behind the scenes look at that industry. And, because there is so much to see, we invite you to put together a package that suits you, and your group (minimum 15 people). Choose three options from below and we will organise the rest! Each farm gate visit will take around an hour, but allowing for travel between sites, comfort stops, food breaks and jawbreaking views of the Coorong, we expect that your tour will take a full day.
Olive Oil Production
Established in 1998, this family run business produces 700 tonnes of olive oil annually for both export and domestic retail. These former dairy farmers have a life changing story!
Wild Catch Fishing
Glen and Tracy run and manage a wild catch fishing and processing business in Meningie. At their seafood cellar door you will learn just how important the Coorong eco-system is to Australia.
Raukkan, the former Point McLeay Aboriginal Mission, is also home to David Unaipon. David designed the shearing hand piece which, together with the Raukkan Church, features on the Australian $50 note.
Your personal guide will introduce you to
real producers and give you the ultimate, behind-the-scenes, experience.
Your host has been selected for their passion for the Coorong, their belief in what is possible and their sense of fun!
Nothing is to much trouble for the Coorong Tours team.
